John Parr is co-founder of the Denver-based Center for Regional and Neighborhood Action that created CIVIC RESULTS, a non-profit organization that helps create measurable change in communities and regions. He has served as President/CEO of the Alliance for Regional Stewardship. John is an associate of the Citistates Group, working on issues of regional governance in the US. He is a licensed attorney with extensive experience in public administration, strategic planning, mediation, public interest group management, and political campaign organization. John is a Lecturer in the Graduate School of Public Affairs at the University of Colorado. He has taught at Harvard University, MIT, UCLA, and the University of Denver. His writing has appeared in publications ranging from the University of Chicago Policy Review to The Consensus Building Handbook. From 1985 to 1995 John served as President of the National Civic League. He is a Fellow of the National Academy for Public Administration, President of Denver Friends of Public Montessori, and on the board of the Downtown Denver Partnership.
